Jack Kearns, Founder & President
For over 20 years, Jack Kearns has been providing fundraising counsel to a variety of clients located throughout the United States. Among the many organizations served by Mr. Kearns are Roman Catholic Parishes, Healthcare Providers, Educational Institutions and non-profit Community Organizations.
Since 1990, his firm of Kearns & Associates has raised over $100 million through a variety of capital fund-raising campaigns. This includes raising more than $50 million for clients located in the Western New York communities of Buffalo and Rochester. Campaign highlights include raising over $4 million in two separate church campaigns and raising a record amount of capital funds for the Second Harvest Food Bank of Western New York.
In the spring of 2000, Kearns & Associates under the direction of Jack Kearns, raised a record $8.5 million in a joint capital campaign for Elk County Catholic High School and the St. Marys Catholic Elementary School System in St. Marys, Pennsylvania. This was the most successful fundraising campaign for Catholic education in the history of the Diocese of Erie, Pennsylvania.
Additionally, under the direction of Jack Kearns, the firm has conducted or is currently conducting campaigns for clients such as: Trocaire College-Buffalo, NY; Cuba Memorial Hospital-Cuba, NY; St. Noel Church- Willoughby Hills, OH; St. John Neumann Church- Pittsburgh, PA; Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish-LakeView, NY; Nicholas H. Noyes Hospital- Dansville, NY; Medina Memorial Hospital- Medina, NY; Jones Memorial Hospital- Wellsville, NY; The Society of St. Vincent de Paul- Buffalo, NY and the Second Harvest Food Bank of Western New York- Buffalo, NY.
Currently, Jack serves on the advisory board of the St. Francis Foundation, Inc., which provides philanthropic support to St. Francis Geriatric and Health Care Services in Buffalo, New York. He is also a member of the St. Bernadette Roman Catholic Church Long-Range Financial Planning Committee and serves as co-chairperson of the St. Bernadette Parish Stewardship Committee in Orchard Park, New York.

William F. Grant, II, CFRE served as director of development for the Catholic Diocese of Erie, PA for over 15 years. He was responsible for all phases of development activity for the diocese, including parish and school capital campaigns, the annual diocesan stewardship appeal, parish stewardship and sacrificial giving programs, major gift cultivation and planned giving and endowment.
Bill is a founding member and past president of the Northwestern Pennsylvania Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP). The organization honored him in 2000 as the Outstanding Fundraising Executive of the Year. He earned the Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) designation, which is an internationally recognized professional credential for fundraising executives. The CFRE certification also serves as an impartial, third-party endorsement of one's knowledge and experience against international standards in philanthropy. He has served on numerous other professional boards including a board appointment to the International Catholic Stewardship Council.
Bill's community service includes more than thirty leadership appointments in diverse organizations, including: the Estate Planning Council of Erie, PA; National Committee on Planned Giving; Association of Fundraising Professionals board of directors; Eisenhower College Alumni Association; Retirement Fund for Religious Planning Committee; secretary, Shankar Service Foundation Board of Directors (hospital in India); and religious education teacher, Saint Jude Church, Erie, Pennsylvania.
Patrick Martino, Campaign Director
Patrick R. Martino is a graduate of St. Francis High School in Athol Springs, New York and Mercyhurst College in Erie, Pennsylvania, where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Marketing and Public Relations.
Patrick is a professional who has served as an Editor for the Merciad, a Mercyhurst publication. Additionally, he has provided public relations and marketing support as a Coordinator in Community Development for the Buffalo Sabres of the National Hockey League (NHL).
Patrick has also tenured as a Media Relations Specialist, Political Speech Writer and Graphic Design Artist. Clients that have benefited from Patrick’s counsel include Trocaire College- Buffalo, NY; Most Precious Blood Church- Angola, NY; Nicholas H. Noyes Memorial Hospital- Dansville, NY; Ursuline High School-Youngstown, OH; Dunkirk Historic Lighthouse and Veterans Park Museum- Dunkirk, NY; and St. Michael’s Parish- Newark, NY; Buffalo Discovery School- Buffalo, NY. He has also consulted with the Discovery School (Buffalo Public Schools) and the United Way of Buffalo and Erie County.
Patrick’s experience includes all phases of capital campaign implementation from pre-planning to post campaign follow-up.
Residing in Buffalo, New York, Patrick is a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Parish.
